I think about this often [FIRST NAME GOES HERE]

Hey Reader!

Just because, today I thought it’d be fun to share with you three things that have been on my mind lately.

Think of this like a let’s get real coffee chat … only better … because you don’t have to make awkward small talk or smile-nod fake-polite if you think anything I say here is off the wall! #win-win

Three things on my mind lately:

#1 - Why is there an upward trend of digging into someone’s pain points?

I understand that speaking about pain points is understanding and relating to your dream person you would love to work with. There is a difference in speaking into pain points and digging into pain points. Speaking into pain points comes from a place of love and understanding. Digging into pain points is coming across as painful and something unintentionally hurtful.

For example: When I was newer in business, there were 2 coaches I was considering. One coach had messaging of “I understand how hard it is to get your business off the ground. I have been there. Every business starts with zero clients” Another coach had messaging of “Stop treating your business as a hobby or side gig. If you want to get anywhere in business, you need to hustle. Go out there and sell, sell, sell”

I chose the first one.

#2 - Why is time blocking all the rage?

When I go on Instagram, all I have been seeing on my feed is the power of time-blocking. Time blocking works but it depends on where you are at in life. Time blocking worked for me when I was younger in med school. Time blocking doesn’t work when my schedule is based on my son’s and husband’s schedule.

Maybe it will work again in the future when my son is older, but for now, I prefer to call it ‘time flexibility’ where I have a certain task I want to accomplish but coming from a place of love and grace if I don’t have the enough time because my son woke up from his nap early or hubby needs to work late.

#3 - How come having a wall calendar for business and separate joint calendar has been a game changer?

My toddler son has claimed my business notebook and pens as his own. I tried sharing but I can’t read past the scribbles. To be honest, I was lost without my 10 year routine of writing it down on paper. I looked into the wall calendar and got one for myself and my family. It has been a game changer. I am aware of what I need to do now and in the future. It is helping my husband remember what he needs to do without me reminding him. #definite win-win

This is just a quick preview of the many things rolling around in my mind these days:).

Zipping through the room, Logan went to his bedroom window and peered outside. The rain was pouring down hard, hitting the window panes on the way down to the earth. The rain droplets on the tree leaves dripped slowly in comparison to the intensity of the rain pouring downward. Logan and I stood still and were mesmerized by the sight before us. His wonderment turned into excitement and he put his hand on the window trying to feel the rain. Logan turned to me puzzled that he couldn’t feel the...

Hey Reader, Based on last week’s email, I got a couple of emails asking me about what wall calendar I use. I was surprised because I normally don’t get asked what I use behind the scenes. It got me thinking about maybe this is something you might like to know as well. My favorite wall planner- Etsy Quarterly Wall Calender at PlanTheThingsCo I spent 2-3 hours checking out Etsy and landed on this calendar. My reasoning for getting this is that it is aesthetically pleasing to look at, the boxes...

Hey Reader! One thing I see a lot of people debate nearly every day on Christian space is: Should you be like the Proverbs 31 woman? As someone taking time to understand the Bible, a board-certified psychiatrist who has seen over 1000 patients in my career, and a certified life coach, You should be like Proverbs 31 woman but not the misrepresentation of it! Proverbs 31 has been used to demonstrate the standard of what a married wife should be: pure; godly; devoted wife and mother; perfect...
